I think you can only gain them by leveling.

I know you can get skill points through quests, but I don't know about attribute points. Their was a question like this awhile back and everyone was mixed up on the diffrence between attribute points and skill points. But, what you might have been reading is that they did the quests for the XP and leveled up that way, giving them more attribute points.

I CAN confirm you can get skill points for quests, and bonus missions, and normal missions,
But attribute points, you get by leveling. Regards, Ashleigh. |

So when you're up to level 20, that's it-- no more attribute points EVER? Ugh.
(EDIT-) What about this: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=13027 m19 |

There are 2 quests, one at Ascension and one at Droknar's Forge. Each of these yields 15 attribute points to bring your total attribute points to 200.

Once again, that search function is really handy, but I'll explain it to you anyway.
Once you get to the Crystal Desert, there is a quest you can do called 'The Forgotten Ones' (which you can start in Destiny's Gorge - Thanks Ninna). Once you have done that, you have to do 'Forgotten Wisdom'. If you have done that one, you get 15 attribute points. The second quest for the remaining 15 attribute points starts in a few locations (Locations are: "Heroes' Audience", "Seeker's Passage" and "Destiny's Gorge") spread out across the Desert. You have to do one of the 'Path' missions (like Path of the Necromancer, Path of the Warrior) and then you can do the second part for your attribute points, by talking to Vanyi in Droknar's Forge (called: Heroes' Challenge). If you have not been to "Heroes' Audience", "Seeker's Passage" and "Destiny's Gorge", then you can start a quest (called: Heroes' Journey) at Vanyi which will require you to go to each of these locations. That way the developers make sure you reach those locations and you start one of the Path missions in order to get your final 15 attribute points. If I'm missing something here, please, do correct me. For anything else, try searching Last edited by Mariena Feladon; May 22, 2005 at 03:13 PM // 15:13.. |

So if this is correct, it would indicate that in order to get your last 15 attirbute points, you would have to change your secondary profession. Am I right here? Can anyone that knows for sure clarify? Thanks, Vai |

Nope. You have to run the quest, but after the quest you have the OPTION to change. And you can't run quests for professions you already have. If you change your secondary, you'll then be able to do the Ranger quest, but you'll never be able to do the monk quest as a monk primary. Furthermore, any secondary path quest you do unlocks that option forever. You can simply go to any of the proffession changers and select a new profession from a list of the ones you've run the quests for.

Sorry, with Amnoon Oasis I actually meant Crystal Desert, as I didn't know where you could start it. I'll edit it in my post. Thanks |

Question here then : If I change my secondary from monk to ranger.... I can change back again? And do I get back all the skills I previously unlocked or does it reset??? There are things we need to know!!! |

Yes all you unlock are based on account and not on character. So all the skill that you have are still there when you change back.

Here is a screen shot of the first one "Forgotten Wisdom" with both map points shown. Its actually quicker to go to Dunes of Dispair and come to the second point from the southwest.
